Flooring Installers

As flooring installers, we are professionals at helping you decide which type of new flooring is best for you, based on your preferences, your budget and your home. We are flooring installers for a wide variety of flooring types, and each has its own characteristics that make it unique.

  • Hardwood – Hardwood offers a wonderful “warm” appearance to a room that makes it very attractive. It also has the advantage of being able to be refinished multiple times, giving it a new look each time. On cold winter days, a wood floor is naturally warmer to walk on (compared to tile), and it is also less noisy. In the hardwood category, your flooring installers will explain that you still have further choices to make regarding color, size, type of wood and finish. Hardwood can be more expensive than some other types of flooring, and you have to be careful when moving furniture because it can be easily dented.
  • Carpet – Carpet remains a popular choice among homeowners for a variety of reasons. The right carpet choice can make a room really look great, and of course it’s great to walk on. Carpet makes the floor comfortable enough for small children to play on the floor, and flooring installers agree that protection from stains has come a long way. Of course, the choice of carpet will depend on where it will be used and what the expected traffic flow will be like. We can help you sort that out.
  • Tile – Tile seems like a simple category with not much to consider for options. Most experienced flooring installers will tell you that is not the case. There are many variations: Stone and Porcelain Tile, Quarry Tile, Glazed Ceramic Tile, Paving Tile and Mexican Tile (also known as Saltillo). Each of these has different characteristics.
  • Heated flooring – If you have ever walked across a floor barefoot on a cold winter morning, you will understand why heated flooring is so popular. Radiant heat can be installed under certain hardwood, tile or stone flooring, and it is a luxury that you will not want to do without. Flooring installers love to put this in because the reaction from customers is always positive!
  • Vinyl – Vinyl flooring has the advantage of being one of the most affordable types of flooring. It’s easy to install, requires very low maintenance, and it is generally quite durable. There are different grades of vinyl. Low-end is the choice for the least expensive flooring option. High –end vinyl is more expensive, but can rival the appearance of hardwood flooring.
  • Laminate – Laminate flooring is able to display a look that is very natural, but it is also durable enough that it could be used in virtually any room. With some laminate floors, you would have to look closely to see that it is not actually hardwood.
  • Bamboo – Bamboo is prefinished flooring that is becoming very popular. Not all flooring installers are familiar with bamboo, but we can tell you that it has several great qualities. Compared with hardwoods, it is as hard as Hard Maple, and actually harder than Red Oak. Bamboo is actually not a wood; it is a grass. So when it is harvested for use, it rejuvenates back to maturity within 5 years. This makes is very environmentally friendly. Bamboo comes in dozens of colors and each bamboo floor is unique. You will not be disappointed with this choice.

We are happy to come out and answer any questions you may have about the various options for your new floors. We are confident that you will be very happy with the results.
